Abstract The cultivation of roses, has a constant demand in the national market, is an activity that generates economic income, henee the importance of researching production factors that can accelerate production times. This study was carried out in the multipurpose nursery of Cota Cota Experimental Center, in orderto evalúate the effect of hydrogen peroxide at different concentrations in the rooting process in two varieties of roses. The study was conducted in a completely random experimental design with bifactorial arrangement using the varieties: Nathal Brier and Manetti as factor A, for factor B four concentrations of hydrogen peroxide were used (0, 3, 6 and 9 %), forming eight treatments, with four repetitions, the response variables were: daysto callus formation, numberof daysto root formation, numberof roots, length of roots and number of shoots. The results regarding the number of roots showed significant differences in the interaction of varieties and hydrogen peroxide concentration, registering 14, 12, 11 and 10 roots for the concentrations 3, 0, 6 and 9 % respectively. For the length of roots there were no significant differences in the interaction variety by concentration indicating that there is no interaction for this variable between the factors. In the numberof shoots, significant differences were registered in the interaction of variety and concentration, showing that the concentration of hydrogen peroxide influences the number of shoots, and the comparison of means gives an average of two shoots per cutting. The Nathal Brier variety was earlier, reaching callus formation at 23 days, as opposed to 58 days in the Manetti variety. Root formation in the Nathal Brier variety occurred at 30 days and 65 days in the Manetti variety, and root length fluctuated an average of 4.3 to 5.3 cm with two buds per cutting.
