ECHENIQUE QUEZADA, Marco Antonio  y  MOLLO AYRA, Gaby. In vitro establishment of nodal segments of Guanabana (Annona muricata L.) at the Sapecho Experimental Station - Bolivia. RIIARn [online]. 2020, vol.7, n.1, pp.62-68. ISSN 2409-1618.

Abstract Soursop (Annona muricata L.) is a fruit species of increasing demand and interest by the agricultural and pharmaceutical industries, the fruit has nutritional properties, excellent taste and content of calcium, phosphorous, vitamins and fibers. In addition to possessing substances such as acetogenins with cytotoxic activity in cancer cells. This crop is limited by its seed propagation method. The use of in vitro tissue culture forthe massive propagation of promising trees is an alternative that will increase the availability of plants for the development of field plantations. The work was carried out in the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory of the Sapecho Experimental Station, located in the municipality of Palos Blancos in the department of La Paz, with the aim of establishing in vitro nodal segments of adult Guanabana plants, using different concentrations of the hypochlorite of sodium (2%, 5%, 8%) and exposure times (5 min and 10 min.), in the disinfection of the explants. At 21 days of culture, total contamination (fungi, bacteria), presence of phenolic oxidation and explant survival were evaluated. As a result, it was observed that when using 2% sodium hypochlorite and 10 min of exposure and 5% sodium hypochlorite with an exposure time of 5 min, the presence of fungi decreased. Sodium hypochlorite at 8% and exposure time of 10 min, decreased the presence of bacteria. The concentrations of sodium hypochlorite at 5 and 8% with times of 10 and 5 min, respectively, presented fewer oxidized explants. Sodium hypochlorite at 5% for 10 min recorded a survival rate of 30% of the explants. The results obtained indicate that sodium hypochlorite did not control the presence of contaminating microorganisms, due to the complexity and physiological state of the plants, which significantly influences the in vitro establishment of nodal segments of soursop.
