Abstract

MAMANI REYNOSO, Félix. Production of grain from local Cañahua ecotypes (Chenopodium pallidicaule Aellen) with application of bovine manure biol at the Choquenaira Experimental Station. RIIARn [online]. 2020, vol.7, n.1, pp.30-39. ISSN 2409-1618.

Abstract In the Cañahua producing areas, the local Cañahua ecotypes report low grain yields; therefore, it is proposed to investigate the response of the application of biol made from bovine manure in increasing the yield of local Cañahua ecotypes at the Choquenaira Experimental Station. Seed from local Cañahua ecotypes selected from the Andean grain germplasm bank of the Choquenaira Experimental Station has been used in the trial. The variables that were measured were the harvest index, plant height and grain yield. The data obtained from the investigation were analyzed under the additive statistical model of divided plots and for purposes of comparison of averages, Duncan's multiple comparison (5%) and the Student t-test were chosen. The results show that the application of biol has a positive influence on the plant, inducing an increase in the yield of Cañahua grain in a proportion of 14% difference in relation to the yield without biol. The results obtained reflect the favorable effect of the biol made from bovine manure on the yield of the Cañahua ecotypes and its application will favor farmers by improving the production of Cañahua and rural families can use grains as the main input in the diet food and allocate surpluses to the market generating economic income.
