Abstract This study is proposed in accordance with the guidelines of the Productive Community Socio-Educational Model (PCSEM) that responds to a country vision inscribed in the 2016-2020 Economic and Social Development Plan (ESDP), in which communities are expected to form productive from productive projects and own technologies. In this sense, it was analyzed how the PCSEM is being implemented in the municipality of Colquencha as a baseline for the development of Socio Productive Projects (SPP). Then, the productive competencies developed in the students, the ways of implementation of the PCSEM by the teachers and the participation of Authorities and Productive Associations in the development of the Educational Management are described and characterized. The results show that there are deficiencies in the productive competences developed in the students, in the strategies and resources of implementation by the teachers and in the community social participation in the educational management, since there is no adequate reading of the needs, problems and potential of each Canton
