ALCON CHIGUA, Gabriela Verónica  y  BONIFACIO FLORES2, Alejandro. Evaluation of the agronomic variables of quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) and grain quality with application of levels of sheep manure and urea. RIIARn [online]. 2018, vol.5, n.1, pp.37-46. ISSN 2409-1618.

Abstract Given the limited information on the application of inputs such as manure and urea to improve the yield and quality of the quinoa grain, research has been carried out in orderto evaluate the agronomic variables of this crop with the application of levels of sheep manure and urea. The objective was to evaluate the growth, days passed to the phenological phases, yield and commercial grain quality for the "Jacha" Grain variety. The trial was established under the design of plots divided into Random Complete Blocks, assigning doses of manure to the main plot (0.2 and 4 t ha-1) and dose of urea to the subplot (0-0-0, 20-0-0 and 40-0-0) conforming nine treatments in four blocks, the variables were subjected to the analysis of variance and Duncan tests. The results show that differences in plant height and panicle length with application of manure levels were not significant, urea levels showed significant differences with 40 kgN ha-1obtaining higher plant height (100.96 cm) and length of panicle (22.26 cm). There were no significant differences for the days atthe physiological maturity and severity of mildew, for the yield, there was no significance with the levels of manure, while for the urea levels the differences were significant of 4961.67 kg ha-1 with 40 kgN ha-1. For the quality of commercial grain, the levels of manure and the levels of urea were influenced, it is possibleto obtain greaterquantity of large grain and smallerweight of medium and small grain, applying fertilizers. The inputs applied showed favorable effects on plant growth and grain quality, however no differences were observed on the severity of mildew disease.

Palabras clave : Grain quality; Grain jacha; manure; urea; yield.
