The objective of this research was Describe and compare the histological structure of the duodenum, jejunum, ileum and digestive glands of rabbits according to age. For this investigation, 40 rabbits of 15, 30, 45 and 60 days of age were used, from which histological samples of the small intestine and attached glands were obtained. The samples of the mentioned organs were processed in the Laboratory for Research and Diagnosis in Altitude Animals (LIDCAA) of the Faculty of Agrarian and Natural Sciences, Technical University of Oruro, using the histological technique with eosin-hematoxylin (EH) staining. According to the results obtained in the present work, the same ones that are evidenced in photomicrographs according to age, no specific differences were found in the histological structure of the tissues that constitute the small intestine and adjoining glands of rabbits, the only difference that was could register was in the size and quantity of cells that make up the tissues analyzed. The histolog-ical study of the mentioned organs allows us to clarify that the digestive tissues complete their differentiation from a very early age in rabbits, for this reason from 15 to 60 days there was no marked histological difference.
