MAYTA-CARRILLO, Cleto; LOZA-MURGUIA, Manuel Gregorio y DELGADO-CALLISAYA, Pedro Ángel. Characterization of reproductive apparatus of male llamas (Lama glama, Linnaeus 1758) from Turco, Sajama-Oruro. J.Selva Andina Anim. Sci. [online]. 2016, vol.3, n.1, pp.22-42. ISSN 2311-3766.
The correlation of liveweight and biometric measures of length and width were determined testicular, penile-skin bridge in male llamas by age (1, 2, 3 and 4) and some measures of their reproductive systems. 81 animals were evaluated at slaughterhouse of Turco, Oruro, 1, 2, 3 and 4 years old, an average of 77.69 ± 8.85 kg bodyweight were determined in variables testicular width and length (right and left): right testicular Largo (LTD) 4.27 ± 0.48 cm and 3.81 ± 0.48 cm in the scrotum, testicular wide right (ATD) 2.41 and 2.18 ± 0.35 cm ± 0.24 cm in the scrotum, testicular long left (LTI) 4.21 ± 0.50 and 3.77 ± 0.42 without the scrotum, left testicular width (ATI) 2.36 ± 0.25 and 2, 17 ± 0.25 without the scrotum. Burning of 1 and 2 years weight had a high influence on both the long and wide without testicular scrotum, and not significant at 3 and 4 years. At the age of 1 year it was observed that 33% had complete adherence, 4% and 63% partial adherence presented free of adhesion. Ages 2, 3 and 4 years 100% of the observed animals were free of adhesion. Penis length (LP) 19.18 ± 3.97 cm and 32.18 ± 3.47 cm after working surfaces, along the free portion of the penis (LPLP) 13.05 ± 2.99 cm, diameter of the penis (DP) 3.52 ± 0.33 cm and 3.15 ± 0.30 cm after working surfaces, length of the glans (LG) 8.68 ± 1.00 cm after working surfaces, penile length process (LPP) 0 97 ± 0.08 cm after working surfaces, hanging over the foreskin (LPC) and 9.72 ± 2.12 cm distance prepuce testicle (DTP) 29.06 ± 3.44 cm.
