Abstract

Introduction:

Metacognition is the process through which the student becomes aware of what he learns, but how can we expand this concept from the emerging paradigm of complexity, if we relink awareness to the application of complex thinking. Metacognition applied with elements of complex thinking is called metacomplexity, which is a superior process where we become aware of complexity to learn and teach, it will imply levels of reality and ways of applying complexity in educational processes.

Objective:

To theoretically review the concept of metacognition in order to deepen the subject taking into consideration the concept of classroom social mind in Education.

Method:

Theoretical review of the author's publications, it is a cross-sectional, retro-prospective, non-experimental study.

Discussions:

The process of continuity of metacomplexity will therefore be the social mind classroom as the most creative process that a student can develop in order to solve educational or daily life problems.

Conclusion:

Metacognition is the most sensitive mental process in the educational process that transcends by applying complex thinking.
