The complexity of soils in Peru lies in the diversity of climates, soil composition and the lack of study by engineers. The objective of this work was to compare the results of the CBR and PDC test on the Cusco-Paruro subgrade, used in the opening of trails, pavements, roads and other studies. The study population was the subgrade bounded from km 0+000 to 4+000, 4 specimens were extracted for the CBR study, in the laboratory according to MTC and in the PDC study 21 test points were performed, every 200 m in the progressives already marked in the aforementioned trajectory. The results show that the subgrade is made up of different types of strata, according to their physical and mechanical properties they are classified according to SUCS standards as: (CL), (GC), (SM), (SW-SM) and AASTHO standards as: A-6(9), A-6(0), A-2-4(0), A-1-a (0).

The laboratory results concluded that the resistance with in situ PDC and laboratory CBR for fine soils is from 0.11 to 0.96 % with reliability of 99.81 and 99.04 %, and in granular soils they vary from 7.62 to 1.84 % with a lower reliability of 92.38 and 98.16 %.
