Abstract

Abstract For the sustainable and sustainable development of the Shuar nationality, belonging to the province of Morona Santiago, Ecuador. It also has the support GIPS participants. The área of the investigation was 47930.40 ha, it presents mountainous reliefs and its altitude varíes between 620 and 2000 meters above sea level and with annual precipitation of 2500 to 3000 mm. The average temperature ranges between 18 °C and 24 °C. It has a population of 9401 inhabitants, whose population distribution corresponds to 4.3% urban, 95.7% rural. This study included the SENPLADES guidelines to elaboration and updating of the Plans of Development and Territorial Ordering, which was structured in three phases, in the first, secondary information was collected considering its availability and quality. In addition, the complementation and generation of new information of a primary nature was planned; In the second phase, in Chiguaza, prior socialization and training of native technicians in the basic management of ARCGIS software 10.4. In 34 communities' surveys, interviews, participatory mapping and the application of the Global Positioning System (GPS) for dereferencing were applied; In the third phase, the current situation of Chiguaza was analyzed, generating a real territorial model through coremas in the environmental, socio-cultural, productive and community-based components. The surveys were applied to the presidents of the communities, interviews were also applied to the families of the community that participated in the workshop. For the georeferencing differential GPS (Spectra) was used with a margin of error of 0.50 cm and two tactile GPS (Oregon 700) with a margin of error of 1 m. In addition, a participatory mapping was carried out through 3 interactive workshops, with the participation of the presidents of the communities and four delegates from each of them. After the information was collected, it was sys-tematized using the ARCGIS Software 10.4. The main results of the research process allowed real knowledge in the environmental, sociocultural, productive and community settlements, with spatial and alphanumeric information. The analysis maps of each component describes the contéxt identifying the problems of the territory in the face of deforestation, reducing the área to cultívate their farms, putting at risk the food security of the community families, the supply of water for human consumption, identification the potential of biodiversity in natural forests and reserve área. Among other aspects that will allow leaders, authorities and local governments to make sound decisions regarding the reality of the studied área.
