Resumo

The article proposes that the influence of the religious identity of the Seventh-day Adventists in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, during the electoral processes carried out between 2005 and 2009, is manifested objectively, with greater intensity, in the principles and values general principles that govern their participation in politics. But this identity is specifically manifested with less intensity at the moment of assuming a cultural identity and at the moment of casting the vote. In this context, it is stated that there are two types of political citizenship among Adventists in Santa Cruz de la Sierra: those who have a more conservative approach regarding their participation in politics, which is apparently the majority orientation, and those who have a more liberal approach in terms of their participation in politics, which is apparently the minority orientation.
