BAUDOIN, Magela. Francesco Petrarca and the Legacy of a Scriptural Ethics for Modernity. Rev. aportes de la comunicación [online]. 2024, n.36, pp.103-114. ISSN 2306-8671. https://doi.org/10.56992/a.v1i36.470.
This essay examines the transcendence of Petrarch as a writer and pioneer of modern authorship, focusing on his transformative impact on literature and philosophy. Petrarch's innovative approach to writing is distinguished by his conscious exploration of language as a means of ethical and aesthetic expression. Through an analysis of his works, including sonnets, letters, and treatises, this work delves into the concepts of singularity and ethics of writing as articulated by scholars such as Ullrich Langer and Massimo Lollini. Likewise, it highlights Petrarch's creation of a new literary paradigm, in which writing is established as a tool for self-representation and engagement with posterity, thus demonstrating his profound influence on the evolution of literary discourse.
