ESTREMADOIRO PARADA, Brenda y SCHULMEYER, Marion K.. Academic procrastination in university students. Rev. aportes de la comunicación [online]. 2021, n.30, pp.51-66. ISSN 2306-8671.
Abstract Academic procrastination was studied in 319 students from the Private University of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The Procrastination Assessment Scale−Student (PASS) was used to measure the level of procrastination and describe the reasons why students procrastinate. The results showed that students have an average level of procrastination, that there are no differences in the general level of procrastination between faculties, sexes and academic performance. The reasons students procrastinate the most, are assessment anxiety, and the tendency to feel overwhelmed for not managing their time well. Some of the reasons why men and women procrastinate were also found to be different.
