Abstract: The research work identifies and analyzes the current situation of handcrafted embroidery made in the community of Los Tajibos, a rural area in the Andrés Ibáñez province, municipality of Cotoca, in the department (State) of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. This work is part of a series of studies of the Artisan Project of the Center for Research, Artisan Design and Commercialization (CIDAC - Artecampo). Los Tajibos is a community that originated from the migration of indigenous Chiquitanos from the town of San Antonio de Lomerío at the end of the 20th century. The article describes the artisanal production, the socio-cultural and economic context of the production, its role in the community, the origin of the technique and the consolidated associative styles.
