Abstract Mobility communication has changed many aspects of modern life by transforming and altering the foundations of communication, both personally and in the media. Mobiles in the hands of millions of people have caused cultural, social and behavioral changes, with consequences for the media, the economy, politics and many other aspects of human culture. Particularly, in the faculties of Communication, the impact of this transformation has altered the training processes of new professionals. For this reason, through this research we wanted to trace the social and cultural profile of the young prosumers who are trained in the communication faculties of the Aburrá Valley. Understanding how they use mobiles, how they produce with them, what type of consumption they have and how they interact through them, can contribute to understanding this impact
