Abstract

Abstract This investigation shows the sociodemographic transformation of Bolivia, a country that is no longer rural but an urban one, with a high population density in its most important cities. For this exercise, it is pretended to transform the internodal city concept, defined by demographic size, to a concept defined by the roles of the city to its inhabitants and the articulation function of the city to other towns. This investigation is a non-experimental case study (five communities randomly chosen), it is a descriptive, transactional, cuali and quantitative investigation. For this exercises it has being stablished seven dimensions of study, by the designed of two ad hoc measurement instruments in Likert scales, by which it has been verified its fiability and internal consistency. Once the instruments have been statistically verified, the investigation pretends to categorized different cities of Bolivia that has an intermodal city profile, by the population perception of their needs attendance.
