Resumen

ZELAYA MEDINA, Ricardo. How reflected Facebook the contradictions of President and Vice President previous at February's referendum: The contradictions of the political discourse of Evo Morales and Alvaro Garcia Linera previous to the referendum on 21 February, reflected on the page of public debate "I like democracy and not dictatorship" of the social network Facebook, between 20 January and 20 February 2016. Rev. aportes de la comunicación [online]. 2016, n.21, pp.55-63. ISSN 2306-8671.

More than ever before in Bolivia's political history, the electoral scene of the February 20th, 2016, constitutional referendum was dominated by the active presence of citizen cyber-activism pages. The contradictions between the discourses of President Evo Morales and Vice President Álvaro García Linera and the immediate practical reality affected the results of those elections in that they encouraged the construction and growth of an oppositional "counter-discourse" in the citizen debate pages on the social network Facebook, the most popular among Bolivian internet users. The page "I like democracy and not dictatorship", among many others, reflected these contradictions and contributed to an extensive citizen debate, which affected the results of the elections.

Palabras clave : Discourse contradictions; citizen opposition; social networks; 2016 Referendum.
