VILA DE PRADO, Roberto. Argument and performativity in political discourse Sergio Almaraz Paz. Rev. aportes de la comunicación [online]. 2016, n.20, pp.47-54. ISSN 2306-8671.
Abstract In this artícle, the emphasis is placed on the relatíonship between discourse and practíce, considering that theoretícal concerns, independent of any practíce, have no value in themselves even if they possess logical coherence. Sergio Almaraz Paz (1928-1968) stated that "reality is not understood unless it is worked upon" (1964a, p. 33). Regarding this same topic, Gramsci, in his work Prison Notebooks (1995), pointed out that ideas are not born from other ideas; on the other hand, they express historical development. According to Zemelman (1989, p. 91), "to the same extent that theoretícal discourse is transformed into political discourse, the truth of the first becomes the possibility of the constructíons proposed by the second."
