Resumen

BADDOUR, Stephanie  y  SCHULMEYER, Marion K. Relationship between personality and gravitation towards Facebook. Rev. aportes de la comunicación [online]. 2016, n.20, pp.9-14. ISSN 2306-8671.

Abstract This research describes the relationship between personality and the use of Facebook from a multidimensional perspective of the use of this network, under the construct of gravitating towards Facebook. The sample is composed of 298 university students from Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The Spanish version of the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Revised and Abbreviated and a translated version of the questionnaire Gravitating Towards Facebook were used. The results revealed low correlations between neuroticism and the use of Facebook for connecting, relaxing and personal branding. On the other hand, extroverts gravitate towards Facebook for connection, and no correlation was found between introversion and gravitation towards this social network.

Palabras clave : Facebook; personality; neuroticism; extraversion; introversion.
