Abstract

INFANTE, Rubén Ricardo  and  PEREDA OCHOA, Alcides Rafael. Digital cultural journalism: Web 2.0, its challenges. Rev. aportes de la comunicación [online]. 2013, n.16, pp.23-29. ISSN 2306-8671.

This work describes the changes effected on mass media as a result of post-modernity and its ongoing impact. Theoriticists refer to this process as post-postmodernism, neo-modernism, re-modernism, alter-modernism, and critical modernism, going through concepts of Web 1.0, Web 2.0, and Web 3.0. Digital Cultural Journalism: Web 2.0, its Challenges, emphazices the fact that a distinctive approach specific of the group called postmodernity becomes isolated is ultimatelly unthinkable. The work also offers a less pudical view for those who still discredit the digital media, their influence and their wide possibilities. Experience has proved the need to trust the manners and ways of the digital media. Keeping in mind its role as society becomes more informatized, we also acknowledge the possibilities offerred for the cultural promotion, more specifically as of digital journalism: ameansof communication not only devoted to a merely informative flux, but also to the utopia of communicating culture and producing culture, a dream to become true.

Keywords : Cultural journalism; hipermedia journalism.
