Anemophilic Pollen in the City of Sucre and its relationship with Meteorological factors and air Pollutants. Rev. Cien. Tec. In. [online]. 2024, vol.22, n.29, pp.17-30. Aerobiology is a very important branch of biology that studies particles of biological origin found in the air, which is why it has a variety of applications in research of a different nature. In the present research, the objective was to characterize and associate the fluctuation of the abundance and diversity of anemophilous pollen with meteorological factors and atmospheric pollution, during the wet season in the city of Sucre. Pollen monitoring in the air was carried out with a Burkard volumetric collector and counting was carried out using the Hirst protocol. Our results indicate that meteorological factors have an influence on the abundance of pollen grains found in the air, as does the polluting factor PM10. Regarding pollen types, 24 plant families were recorded and identified, it was observed that there is a variation in the abundance of pollen in the air, where we found that different plant families had high peaks of pollen release on the sampling dates. , suggesting that the sampling dates can be considered as the flowering period and pollination season of the taxa. Furthermore, 11 families of plants from the pollen found are considered to have anemophilous pollination (i.e. wind), 10 families are considered to be pollinated by pollinating agents (i.e. insects, rodents, birds) and 4 families are considered to have mixed pollination.
