Abstract

GUEVARA VEGA, Evelyn Milles Duval; DELGADO DEZA, Jose Ricardo  and  MENDOZA DE LOS SANTOS, Alberto Carlos. Current state of database Auditing: Benefits and emerging Technologies. Rev. Cien. Tec. In. [online]. 2023, vol.21, n.27, pp.47-56. ISSN 2225-8787.  https://doi.org/10.56469/rcti.v21i27.884.

Database auditing is an essential process to ensure the security, integrity and quality of the information stored in them. In addition, auditing allows the identification of possible threats, vulnerabilities and errors in data management. For this reason, a systematic review of the literature has been carried out with the aim of analyzing the latest research on auditing, so this question is asked: What is the current landscape of database auditing? The review focuses on the relationship and importance between auditing and database, the tools and technologies used to perform it, the benefits and the possible future of database auditing with the new technologies in this field. This search was achieved through reviews of articles published in databases such as Scopus, ResearchGate, Dialnet, World Wide Science, Proquest, and BASE between 2018 and 2023. As a result, the contribution of artificial intelligence in database auditing is highlighted.
