Abstract

DURAN FLORES, Brayan Daniel; CASTELLON MEDINACELI, Miguel Ángel; CHUMACERO LLANOS, Jhamil Angel  and  CRUZ ALFARO, Lilian. ELECTRICAL POWER CALCULATION FOR AN ELECTRIC CAR PROTOTYPE USED IN SOLAR RALLYS. Rev. Cien. Tec. In. [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.23, pp.152-177. ISSN 2225-8787.

The research is aimed to calculate the theoretical electrical consumption of a light electric vehicle by operating in specific road sections and using tools and calculations such as: data collection from the free GOOGLE EARTH program, the magnitude of electrical power needed for the electric car prototype to compete in Solar Rallies operating in road sections, such as the Grand Prix Solar Cochabamba - Bolivia, and influencing mechanical parameters on the vehicle. When obtaining the required power data in relation to the orographic requirements demanded by mobility in a prototype for a solar rally, a theoretical support is created to back up the electric motor proposal and the electric power installed in the battery bank, it is worth mentioning that the storage capacity is regulated by the competition organization. vehicle will need to vary the speed according to the orographic requirements of the road. By varying the speed, the electronic (controllers) and electrical (electric motor) components of the solar car prototype will also be protected from failure.

Keywords : Storage; energy efficiency; orography; displacement.
