Introduction The SAFCI model, considered as one of the Health Policies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health care within the National Health System, has become an important indicator of the quality of health services. Objective The objective of this research is to evaluate the applicability degree of the SAFCI Model in the Chuquisaca SEDES during the period 2018 - 2019, with the purpose of contributing to its full applicability in the national territory in accordance with the current legal framework. Methods The methodology applied in this research concerns two types of study; descriptive observational cross-sectional design and correlational study. The sample has been obtained probabilistically, made up of 210 Operational level Officials, 120 Managerial level Officials and 105 users of health facilities. The sampling has been multistage applied in the 7 Health Networks. Results The Evaluation Guides designed for this purpose, as well as the correlational study, have enabled to evaluate the trend and application degree of the Model principles in health services; Integrality Principle with Pearson's correlation value of 0.686, the Intersectoriality Principle is not statistically significant, it reached a Pearson correlation value of 0.052 and a significance level of 0.801. The Social Participation with a Pearson correlation value of 0.054 and the Principle of Interculturality with a Pearson correlation value of 0.693 respectively. Conclusions The research made possible to identify the partial application of the SAFCI model in the 7 Health Networks and its inapplicability in tertiary care hospitals.
