Resumen

AVILA, Elizabeth. Psychosocial and methodological factors associated with the low level of graduates in the master's programs at the Gabriel René Moreno Autonomous University. Rev. Cien. Tec. In. [online]. 2017, vol.14, n.15, pp.893-908. ISSN 2225-8787.

Abstract Objective: To carry out a study of the psychosocial and methodological factors in the postgraduate training in order to determine their impact in the low level of graduates with respect to the graduates in the master's programs. Methodology: The study was carried out in 380 postgraduates with some lost data. A qualitative - quantitative approach was applied; besides being a non-experimental study of descriptive - correlational and transversal type. A bivariate analysis was performed using the correlation to establish the association between psychosocial and methodological factors with respect to the low number of graduates of all graduates in master's programs. Results: Of the total of respondents, the ages range from 21 to 62 years of age, of which 57% are women. Fourteen Postgraduate Units (UPG) have succeeded graduating 9% of total students between the periods 2005 to 2014. In the case of the UPGs that have been studied, the number of graduates represents 17%, in the years 2013 to 2015. Among the factors identified in the low number of graduates can be mentioned: age, undergraduate degree modality, methodological, psychosocial factors and the preparation of thesis as a degree modality, in addition to other factors that must be considered
