Abstract

ROMERO, Sandra. Technical management of chili accessions (Capsicum spp) at the Innovation and Research Center of Villa Carmen Municipality of Yotala. Rev. Cien. Tec. In. [online]. 2017, vol.14, n.15, pp.869-876. ISSN 2225-8787.

Abstract The chili is native to Central America; there is archaeological evidence in Mexico that the genus Capsicum was cultivated more than 6000 years ago. Bolivia is one of the ancestral cradles of chili (genus Capsicum), which includes between 20 and 30 species. The domesticated peppers present rich diversity in the sizes and forms of the pod and of course, variety in taste and itching. In Bolivia, the highest concentration of pepper crops (Capsicum) is found in Chuquisaca. The objective is to systematize the agronomic management of the accessions of chili with production technologies in Villa Carmen of the municipality of Yotala. In the methodology, the regeneration pruning in the chili is considered as an alternative for the renewal of new stems and lengthen the productive cycle and increase yields in the crop. The transplant was done in the free furrows of the 18 accessions that are in evaluation of regrowth. The results show that the accession A396 has 96 sprouts followed by A395 with 71 sprouts.

Keywords : accesión; Capsicum; isolation; chiles.
