Abstract

PLAZA, Mirtha  and  RICALDE, Mariela. Setting Physics-Chemical Quality Parameters from Essential Oil of Schinus Molle l. Obtained by Steam. Rev. Cien. Tec. In. [online]. 2015, vol.11, n.12, pp.693-696. ISSN 2225-8787.

The goal is to characterize the essence of Schinus molle l., with parameters to define its quality by using standardized methods and techniques. The research features the following findings: pH between 4,489 and 5,315, density (gr/cm3) between 0,872 and 0.931, refractive index at 20°C: 1,476 to 1,484, miscibility in completely soluble mineral oil, miscibility in water, partially soluble at 20° C, miscibility in ethanol completely soluble in ethanol 70%, 75%, 80%, 85%, 90% and 95%, acidity index (mg KOH) between 1,958-2,938, Ester index (mg KOH) between 5,398-10,656 waste by evaporation (%) between 71,466-82,019. The findings compared with those achieved in similar researches in Peru and Argentina shows a great similarity.
