Abstract

Objective: Identify characteristics of scientific production on traffic psychology. Method: A total of 251 scientific studies were found in the Scopus database, from the year 1956 to the first half of 2023. Results: A polynomial curve was obtained with a decreasing trend since 2016, obtaining an R² = 63.3% The author with the most scientific production was Matus Sucha from the University of Palacký University, with 13 publications; Leading the largest co-authorship network is Risse. Regarding the affiliations of the authors, the institution with the most research is the Palacký University of the Czech Republic, it has 14 works, also highlighting the University of Granada; Among the most productive countries we have Germany with 27 articles, in relation to the articles by type of document, 163 (64.94%) were original articles, with traffic psychology as one of the most frequent keywords with 103 appearances and regarding The area with the most publication is social sciences with 20.9% Conclusions: This work highlights the importance of traffic psychology, highlighting this area as a complement, being part of the psychology evaluation for drivers.
