Resumen

PANOZO CAMACHO, Eduardo. Perception of the risk to covid-19 in students of the psychology career of the "Universidad Mayor de San Andrés”. Revista de Psicologia [online]. 2022, n.27, pp.63-80. ISSN 2223-3032.  https://doi.org/10.53287/gydo2361me58h.

The objective of this research was to determine the levels of risk perception of the covid-19 virus. The study was carried out with a sample of 148 psychology students of the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) La Paz-Bolivia. A scale was applied: Risk Perception against covid-19, which was subjected to a descriptive statistical analysis. The results show that most of the participants have a high and medium risk perception of the disease and its consequences, especially the fear of death of a family member or serious illness.

It is concluded that there is a tendency to perceive covid-19 as a disease that puts one's own life and the lives of others at risk; however, there are difficulties related to protective behaviors that reduce the probability of contagion.
