Resumen

DOMIC PEREDO, Galia. Corona Virus, Bio-politics, and the rescue of neoliberalism. Revista de Psicologia [online]. 2020, n.Especial, pp.31-41. ISSN 2223-3032.

Abstract This article aims to approach the commercial politicization of life management globally from the perspective of biopolitics (Foucault, M. 2004) and (Judith Butler, 2017) [position/s], (Byung Chul Han, 2020). In the management of populations from a governmental perspective, the classifications of individuals, nation states and geographic spaces, are reinforced, under the logic of statistical and statist medicalization, searching for the “human condition” and the self-regulated “human capital”. Opening the gates to processes of rationalization and racialization - with class and even genetic differentiations -processes of discrimination marked as "necessary", are launched for the benefit of public and world health. The warlike sense of past "cold war" is now re-updated in a multi-polarization creating geopolitical archipelagos, under the "immunological scheme" of the past century. A new disciplinary society underpins under the paradigm of performance. We now carry the master inside us; we are our own bosses, "entrepreneurs" of our life, a dry life. The Coronavirus, as the twist of the global alienated world, articulates now a neoliberalism self-managed by the individuated subject.

Palabras clave : Biopolitics; Neoliberalism; Corona virus; Immune paradigm; Performance society.
