Abstract

ABSTRACT We sought to determine the levels of suicidal ideation, according to dimension and describe psychosocial aspects (N = 75) patients, 18 to 75 years with breast cancer, stages III - IV, state hospital, Chiclayo, August to December, 2016. Non-experimental research, descriptive. Scale used, Beck Suicide Ideation. Low levels were obtained in attitude towards life / death, project of suicidal attempt, hopelessness and suicidal thoughts / desires. The majority were married, housewive and patient in stage III; diagnostic time of 7 to 12 months; importance to religion, more frequent, catholic. They rated, pain level as intense; receive emotional and economic support, mainly from the family. Low level of suicidal ideation
