IBARRA TANCARA, Jhoselin. Atribucional styles in the perception of academic achievement and interpersonal relations in pregrado students of psychology. Revista de Psicologia [online]. 2019, n.21, pp.73-88. ISSN 2223-3032.
Abstract The academic performance in university students will be the reflection of the interaction of internal and external factors of the student. The research aims to approach to cognitive factors, specifically attributional styles, that is, explanations given to any situation or event. In this sense, it tries to show the explanations applied to success situations or failure in circumstances of academic achievement and interpersonal relationships, as these will be more relevant during the university stage. To this aim, 67 first-year students from the psychology career of Universidad Mayor de San Andrés participated, to whom the "Attributional Styles" questionnaire adapted by Matalinares et al. (2009) was applied, with which, based on statements, data was obtained in the academic and social fields. The results show how in this population are explained situations of success and failure in terms of skill, effort, luck or intervention of third people (teachers). The data obtained shows that in both areas the skill is responsible for the both failure and the success in certain situations. However, is also discussed the appearance of high scores in the outsourcing of responsibility towards teachers.
