This work aims to study the way stereotypes influence in the construction of Latin American integration. The stereotype are not only results of individual cognitive activity, are also social, collectives and power products, they function as ideological justifying, they legitimize social relations and build the social identity of the subject; so their study should not be considered only inter-group relations, butthat should also be familiar with the history of these relations.
