The Emotional Intelligence in teenagersof 2nd course of secondary ofthe Educational Unit Germán Busch of the city of La Paz is an investigation that it is born with the zeal to offer theoretical elements for the productionofclearoffersforthedevelopment ofthe Emotional Intelligence ofthe teenagers. The contribution that offers has an important theoretical relevancy, since it introduces valuable referential information to near the development ofthe emotional intelligence ofthe teenagers, the principal emotions and his mechanisms of emotional control. The investigation was approached from a new paradigm of knowledge - developed by Daniel Goleman - who continues being investigated for different understood with the matter. The work was focused from a not experimental design of descriptive transverse type. To gather the information about Emotional Intelligence I use the Inventory of Emotional Intelligence TMMS-24 and of complementary form I apply to him a technology of written composition. The most relevant information expresses that the teenagers have few skills in emotional intelligence, experiments with more frequency negative emotions and before the same ones more ofthe times do not possess resources adapted to contain them.
