The present study investigated the relationship between physical activity and alcohol consumption (beer, wine, liquor) among a youth sample in Bolivia. We have also investigated the associations between physical activity and selected health risk factors such as stress, depression and health perception. This study was conducted among 496 high school students from La Paz, Bolivia. We used the The Healthy Behavior questionary to measure selected study variables. Results show that gender differences are present among teenagers in La Paz. This result allows us to establish that physical activity is a protective factor for risk behaviors, particularly for young women
