Th is study provides a documented summary of the process of identifying heritage values in the Historic Center of La Paz. As will be shown, some of these values persist and are maintained, while others have already disappeared or are at risk of doing so, justifying the need for dedicated eff orts to undertake preservation or recovery actions. The study includes, as relevant elements, monuments that represent historical identity and contribute to the formal and aesthetic aspects of the city.
