This article analyzes the factors that influence the research culture of the Faculty of Humanities at the Universidad San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca. Th rough qualitative interviews with faculty and researchers, it identifies barriers and opportunities related to academic motivation, funding, infrastructure, and interinstitutional collaboration. It also highlights limitations such as the lack of research training. Based on the findings, strategies are proposed to foster research, such as training programs, collaborative networks, and an academic environment conducive to innovation and critical thinking, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and strengthening institutional academic development.
