Abstract

The Capricorn Axis encompasses indigenous communities in the brazilian states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. The general objective is to answer: Are the rights of consultation and parti- cipation of indigenous peoples in Brazil being respected in the infrastructure projects of the Capricorn Axis? To do this, the specific objectives are to analy- ze the corresponding legislation, study the rights of consultation and partici- pation of indigenous peoples in Brazil, and indicate the legal relationship of the peoples and communities. The methodology used was bibliographical and jurisprudential research, through the deductive method.
