Abstract

PANTUSIN VERGARA, Arturo Miguel  and  JAMA ZAMBRANO, Víctor Reinaldo. Meaningful Learning from the Amorfino as a Montubio Musical Genre. Rev Cien Cult [online]. 2023, vol.27, n.51, pp.155-176.  Epub Dec 20, 2023. ISSN 2077-3323.  https://doi.org/10.35319/rcyc.2023511208.

In the teaching-learning process, difficulties are often encountered in reading and interpreting what is read, as well as little participation in classes due to public speaking skills. In addition, we are gradually forgetting the cultural traditions instilled by our ancestors, ignoring much of the ancestral wealth of Ecuador and Latin America. The proposed work aims to develop linguistic skills from meaningful learning through the song, rhythm, and poetry present in the Montubio amorfino musical genre. The application of the methodology will be developed with the execution of activities such as dance, singing, recitation of Montubio verses, stage representation, the study of ancestral customs, and even with the composition of new verses created by the students in the classroom, which will continuously contribute to the linguistic, psychomotor, and affective-emotional development of children and young people.

Keywords : Amorfino; Montubio; music; education; culture; Ecuador.
