Abstract

TRAVERSO-KREJCAREK, Ana Carola. The Origins of the cruceño development model: The Committee of public works and the development Corporation of Santa Cruz. Rev Cien Cult [online]. 2022, vol.26, n.48, pp.11-36.  Epub June 01, 2022. ISSN 2077-3323.

The Cruceño development model is one of the most important transformation phenomena in Bolivia, given its adaptation, resiliency, and engagement at a regional scale. Based on the civic institutional system’s capacity of association and planning, the Cruceño model of development remains active throughout time. But this model has suffered considerable mutations that must be addressed. This essay seeks to explore the origins of the Cruceño model of development, analyzing its structure, achievements, and its impact. Thus, it seeks to codify its main contributions to the country’s political and economic history.

Keywords : history; region; development; transformation; impact.
