This article explains the procedure carried out to build a typeface based on colonial manuscripts. This way of designing the “Ablanda” typeface is called typographic revival. It is the first time that this work has been carried out in Bolivia and thanks to it, an original and unique typeface was obtained that, due to its origin, evokes the importance of the influence of evangelization in Charcas and the heritage legacy of the area, as a result of that catechetical work. This typeface is built for the exclusive use of the Bolivian Catholic University “San Pablo”.
