Resumen

This document presents a brief contrast between the pensum and objectives proposed when the Economics Department of the Bolivian Catholic University “San Pablo” was opened (during the 60's) and those taking in consideration for the economics program update. Also a small summary of all the department deans is made. This historical semblance has a common narrative, the fact that economic science is a social science, therefore, it is in constant evolution.
