Abstract

On May 18, 2021, the Golden Jubilee of the Social Communication Career of the Bolivian Catholic University “San Pablo” is celebrated, the first training race for journalists and social communicators in Bolivia. The date of his birth in 1971 coincided with the V World Day of Social Communications, the date of the Ascension of the Lord, an opportunity in which, in Rome, the Pastoral Instruction “Communio et Progressio” was presented. Fifty years have passed as a career, whose antecedent is the experience of the Higher Institute of Sciences and Techniques of Public Opinion. A tradition of service to communication and information in the country are worthy of celebration for a career that has a vocation of service from the word.
