Abstract

PINTO TAPIA, Bismarck. Romantic Love in the Dances and Songs of the Festivity of the Gran Poder. Rev Cien Cult [online]. 2019, vol.23, n.43, pp.99-118. ISSN 2077-3323.

The Entrada del Señor del Gran Poder is a popular expression of Andean and Western syncretism. Historically it evolves from being a neighborhood party to a complex city festive organization. The appropriation of the city is done at levels that violate what is established under the protection of religiosity. From the theories of the concept of love of Sternberg, and the attitudes of the love of Lee, the dances and songs are analyzed to identify the evolution of the concept of love in the La Paz culture. It concludes in the presence of romantic love as a social construct for the erotism and tenderness.

Keywords : Entrada del Señor del Gran Poder; Concept of love; Attitudes towards love; Stages of love; Female emancipation; La Paz culture.
