Abstract

GUMUCIO DAGRON, Alfonso. Undocumented Dreamers. Rev Cien Cult [online]. 2018, vol.22, n.40, pp.95-108. ISSN 2077-3323.

Personal chronicle of the May 1968 revolts and their cultural, artistic and educational repercussions in the following decade. First, the author argues that one of their main causes was the cultural and political decline of postwar French society. He then describes how this social "mood" turned into the protests. His conclusion is that despite the movement's ultimate political defeat, it must be deemed a cultural victory. In the second part, he describes this cultural victory showed within university life and student politics in the seventies, especially with the contribution of the Latin American and Bolivian political migration escaping the dictatorships of the seventies.
