Vita Christi: the completest Aymara text from colonial times. Rev Cien Cult [online]. 2012, n.28, pp.111-131. ISSN 2077-3323.

This article considers Bertonio´s work Vita Christi as the most extensive and rich Aymara text among all works of this author, and even among all those texts written in the colonial Andes. The author points out that this text, at first intended just as a kind of translation of Alonso de Villegas Flos sanctorum, became a wide mainspring of “the linguistic genius of the Aymara language”. So to assert that this is a first line linguistic document for the study of old Aymara language that urges a new edition.
