Resumen

CEBERIO, Marcelo R. et al. Resilience Tutors throughout the Life Cycle. Ajayu [online]. 2025, vol.23, n.1, pp.41-63.  Epub 28-Mar-2025. ISSN 2077-2161.  https://doi.org//10.35319/ajayu.231274.

The support of resilience mentors is key to mitigating the negative effects of adverse experiences throughout the life cycle. This study aimed to identify the main resilience mentors in Argentina, Mexico, Paraguay, and Colombia, differentiating their impact according to three age groups (5-12, 13-21, and 22 years and older). A non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive design was employed, with a sample of 1,615 participants. An ad hoc questionnaire was applied to assess the perception of resilience mentors in each country and age group. The results indicate that in childhood and adolescence, the predominant mentors are parents, followed by grandparents and uncles. In adolescence, new figures such as friends, phrases, and cultural references emerge, while in adulthood, partners, health professionals, and the work environment stand out. These findings underscore the variability of resilience mentors throughout life and their importance in the development of psychological well-being.
