Abstract

MENDOZA, Yuseth  and  PINTO, Bismarck. ATTITUDES TOWARDS THE PROCESS OF FAMILY EMANCIPATION AND UNBINDING IN UNIVERSITY OF LA PAZ CITY. Ajayu [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.2, pp.383-416. ISSN 2077-2161.

The objective of this research was to determine if the young people of the Universidad Católica Boliviana "San Pablo" have a favorable or unfavorable attitude towards the process of emancipation and family separation. To achieve this objective, a descriptive-comparative research of a quantitative nature was carried out. Therefore, we worked with 353 students, from the fourth to the eighth semester of the different faculties of the university, based on its own scale, called attitudes towards the process of emancipation and family separation (Pinto and Mendoza 2019). The results obtained based on the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, determined the reliability and consistency of the instrument, which shows a favorable attitude towards the process of emancipation and family separation, since the 36 elements of the scale reflected a high level reliability, implying the consistency and internal validity of the instrument. In the same way, the result obtained when analyzing the age ranges, identified that young people between 24 to 26 years of age, have a greater predisposition towards this process, likewise, when comparing the female and male sex, it was determined , that there is no significant difference between the two, finally, among the three components that constitute an attitude, the most outstanding is the cognitive, then the affective and finally the behavioral one, therefore, it can be concluded that the scale elaborated, has excellent validity, reflecting that the instrument truly measures attitudes towards the process of emancipation and family separation.
