Abstract
CORNEJO TROCHE, Orlando Mauricio. SOLUTION FOCUSED BRIEF THERAPY IN A CASE OF POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER. Ajayu [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.1, pp.160-194. ISSN 2077-2161.
In 2018, it was decided to carry out the therapeutic intervention in a 25-year-old young man named “Miguel” in order to disguise his true identity, that was referred by his younger sister. This person presented symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, which were formed after an episode of consumption of controlled substances and inhalants, such an experience of intolerable sensations for him, led him to feel fear, humiliation and guilt for having altered his family structure of apparent peace. But without a doubt, one of the most damaging symptoms was the development of avoidance behaviors that led him to lose his job, worsen family relationships and distance himself from his son. This article describes a qualitative type investigation, under the case study method, where the applied model of therapeutic intervention was Solution Focused Brief Therapy and its own techniques, such as scaling questions, miracle question, therapeutic tasks and exception questions. Thus, based on the evocation of exceptions, moments of "no problem" and hopes for a better future, an effective solution is reached, achieving a solution to the problem.
