In Seminar 17 Lacan reworks the concepts set out by Freud in Group Psychology and the Analysis of the Ego and Civilization and its discontents, in order to address the social issue and to suggest the discourse diagram. To achieve that, the concepts of subject, Other, object Descripción: C:\SciELO\serial\rap\v18n2\img\a.gifand, consequently, the concepts of extimacy and surplus enjoyment are fundamental. Therefore, the four discourses are understood as types of social bond, which suppose modes of jouissance, and with them it is possible to read the social issue in the correlation between fraternity and segregation.
